Christmas Hits Different When Someone Is Missing 🎄💔

By Vikki – How To Feel Fucking Amazing

There’s something brutal about Christmas when someone you love isn’t here anymore. The lights are bright, but everything feels dim. The music is cheerful, but you feel heavy.

You’re surrounded by “joy” but carrying grief in your chest like a weight no one else can see.

Grief is louder at Christmas

Christmas magnifies memories, nostalgia, and the ache of missing.

Suddenly every movie, advert, song, smell and tradition reminds you of someone who should still be here.

You’re not “supposed” to be happy

There’s this fake expectation that December should be magical and cheerful.

But grief doesn’t follow holiday schedules. It doesn’t take Christmas Day off.

Missing them doesn’t get smaller

But your capacity to carry it gets bigger.

You learn to walk with the pain instead of drowning in it.

Keep their memory alive

You’re allowed to talk about them.

You’re allowed to remember.

You’re allowed to love someone who isn’t physically here anymore.

If you cry this Christmas, it doesn’t mean you’re weak

It means you loved deeply.

And that love didn’t die.

Before you go…

I know this hurts. I know Christmas feels heavier without them. But I also know they’d want you to be gentle with yourself.

You’re not alone in this. And the love you’re missing is proof of how much they meant.
