I’m So F*cking Pissed Off With Being Poor: The Rage-to-Rich Plan for Single Parents | howtofeelfuckingamazing.com
I’m So F*cking Pissed Off With Being Poor: The Rage-to-Rich Plan for Single Parents
By Vikki · howtofeelfuckingamazing.com
If you’ve ever whispered “I’m so f*cking sick of being poor” through clenched teeth while paying bills, feeding kids, and trying not to crumble — this is for you.
Let’s start here: being poor isn’t a personality flaw. It’s a system, a season, and a set of numbers — and numbers can change.
Poverty doesn’t just mean “less money.” It means:
- Constant mental load,
- Fear of the next bill,
- Feeling like your dreams are a luxury item,
- And getting told to “budget harder” by people who’ve never lived it.
So if you feel furious? Good. That anger is not a breakdown. It’s a boundary. It’s your nervous system finally saying: “We are not staying here.”
Rage Is Energy. Let’s Aim It Properly.
Anger can destroy you… or it can build you a new life. The difference is what you do in the next 90 days.
We’re not doing fluffy “manifest abundance” nonsense here. We’re doing:
- Clear numbers,
- Income levers,
- Fast wins,
- And a strategy that fits a real single parent life.
The Truth: You’re Not Broken. You’re Under-Earning.
Read this slowly:
You are not “poor.” You are under-earning for your level of skill, survival grit, and intelligence.
Under-earning is fixable. Poor-as-identity is a lie the world sells to keep you small.
The Rage-to-Rich Plan (Simple, Brutal, Effective)
Step 1: Stop the Bleeding (2 weeks)
Not forever, just long enough to breathe.
- Cut one leak this week (a subscription, impulse snacks, one “I deserve this” purchase).
- Automate a tiny “future-me” transfer (even £10/week).
- Keep a “no shame” spending log for 7 days. Data only. No self-hate.
This step isn’t about deprivation. It’s about regaining control.
Step 2: Choose ONE Income Lane (next 30 days)
Not ten. One. Because scattered effort = slow money.
Pick the lane that matches your real strengths. Examples:
- Service lane: freelancing, consulting, bookkeeping/reconciliation packages, Power BI dashboards.
- Content lane: YouTube + blog + Amazon affiliates + digital products.
- Product lane: a simple, sellable tool/template/mini-course.
Rule: one lane for 30 days, then stack the next.
Step 3: Create a “Money Offer” (not a hobby) (weeks 3–6)
An offer is something people can buy in one sentence.
Example: “I reconcile your business bank vs books in 48 hours and give you a clean, confident numbers snapshot.”
- Make it painfully clear what problem you solve.
- Put a price on it (not “message me for details”).
- Set a quick delivery time.
Step 4: Sell Before You Perfect (weeks 6–12)
Perfection is just fear wearing lipstick.
- Post your offer 3x per week.
- Pitch 5 people a week (yes, directly).
- Collect proof/testimonials after each win.
What This Looks Like for Me (and You, If You’re Reading This)
I’m a single parent. I’m not new to survival. I’m just done living there.
So my plan is:
- Use my finance brain to sell reconciliation/cleanup services short-term.
- Build digital income from bold, honest content about narcissistic abuse recovery + money power.
- Turn my expertise into tools (templates, dashboards, mini-courses) that sell while I sleep.
That’s how you go from “I’m broke” to “I’m building.”
Money Mindset — But the Real Kind
Here’s the mindset shift that actually works:
I don’t need to feel ready. I need to feel done.
Ready is a mood. Done is a decision.
Boundaries Are a Financial Strategy
This part matters more than people realise:
- Every narcissist you stop rescuing = money and energy you keep.
- Every guilt trip you ignore = your future gets funded.
- Every “no” = space for a paying “yes.”
You don’t climb out of under-earning while you’re still dragging emotional freeloaders on your back.
If You’re Panicking: Read This Twice
You don’t need a miracle. You need a method.
You don’t need permission. You need momentum.
You don’t need to be fearless. You need to be fed up enough to move.
What to do next (today):
- Pick your ONE income lane for the next 30 days.
- Write your one-sentence offer.
- Tell 3 people this week what you sell.
If you want the exact scripts/offers/templates, I’ve got you — keep reading this site. We’re building a not-broke life here.
