😂 When Your Narcissist Mum Turns Your House into a Sitcom (Starring You)
Picture this:
🎬 Scene opens in your living room. You’re chilling, maybe even in your pyjamas, sipping tea, feeling like a functioning adult… when suddenly…
Enter Mum.
She bursts in like a storm cloud with an agenda no one asked for. “I need to know EVERYTHING!” she demands.
You try to politely explain that no, she doesn’t actually need that information. She ignores you. She leans on your couch. She’s breathing your air.
🎵 Cue laugh track.
🤯 Ten Times, People. Ten. Times.
Yes, TEN. TIMES. She ignored every polite cue, every “I don’t want to talk about this,” every subtle hint that she’s not welcome.
At this point, the audience (aka your cat, your plants, your inner voice) is screaming: “JUST SAY IT!”
So you do. You go full sitcom hero:
“FUCK OFF!”
🎵 Cue triumphant trumpet.
And then… she finally leaves. Ten minutes of chaos condensed into a single glorious exit.
🛡️ Lessons from the Sitcom Set
- Boundaries are hilarious when tested – Especially when she doesn’t get them.
- You’re the lead in this show – Own your lines. Own your house.
- Exaggerate for comedic effect – Ten times? Why not make it a recurring gag every week.
- Laugh afterward – Seriously. If you don’t, the laugh track will feel sad.
😂 The Best Part
The funniest thing? You survived. You didn’t explode (well, mostly), and you got your peace back. Meanwhile, she probably tells everyone how dramatic you were.
Classic sitcom move: she’s the villain, you’re the hero, and your living room is the stage.
✨ Moral of the Episode
Sometimes, life with a narcissist feels like a live comedy. You can’t control the script, but you can control your reactions. And sometimes, the perfect punchline is just saying:
“Nope. Not today. Fuck off.”
🎬 Fade out with applause.
