Vikki Guide to Finding the Best Supermarket Bargains in the UK
My Saturday Morning Ritual: A Quirky Guide to Saving Big in the UK
Every Saturday morning, I have a little ritual that sets the tone for my weekend. I settle down with my dog curled up at my feet, a steaming cup of tea in hand, my laptop open, and my shopping list ready to go.
The first step in my ritual is to hop online and add all the items I need to my basket at major UK supermarkets like Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Asda, or Morrisons. But I don’t just add them as they are; I sort everything by price to make sure I’m getting the best deals possible. It’s amazing how much you can save just by being a bit strategic!
Once my list is all set, I have two options. I can either do my shopping online and have everything delivered across the UK, or if I feel like a little outing, I keep my basket ready and head to my local supermarket. Now, here’s where the fun begins. Supermarkets love to hide their best deals, and you have to be a bit of a detective to find them. I once found the chickpeas that were on my list tucked away in the tea and coffee aisle, instead of the baked bean aisle!
It’s these little surprises that make the whole experience enjoyable. And the best part? This little habit can potentially save you up to £2,000 to £5,000 a year!
So next time you’re planning your shopping in the UK, give this little trick a try. You might just find a hidden gem, enjoy your Saturday morning, and save a nice chunk of change!
