🕊️ A Message from Vikki: How to Make Memories Without Regret
I used to think regret was inevitable. That it came bundled with every big decision, every vulnerable moment, every “yes” that felt risky. But lately, I’ve been rewriting that story.
Regret doesn’t come from doing the wrong thing—it comes from not doing the real thing.
So here’s what I’m learning, and what I want to share with you:
Make memories like your future self is watching.
Not judging. Not nitpicking. Just watching with love, hoping you choose the moment over the mask. The truth over the performance. The laugh over the scroll.
Say the brave thing.
Even if your voice shakes. Even if it’s messy. Even if it’s not received the way you hoped. Regret feeds on silence. Starve it.
Romanticize the ordinary.
Light the candle. Wear the velvet robe. Make your tea like it’s a ritual, not a task. The most unforgettable moments are often the ones we almost overlooked.
Forgive the past versions of you.
She didn’t know what you know now. She was surviving. She was trying. She was learning. Honor her. She got you here.
Choose depth over drama.
Drama is loud. Depth is lasting. Go for the connection that makes you feel seen, not the one that makes you feel chased.
Document the feeling, not just the photo.
Write the note. Record the voice memo. Capture the emotion behind the moment. That’s what time can’t distort.
I’m not here to live perfectly. I’m here to live presently.
To make memories that feel like truth, not performance.
To build a life that feels like mine—not someone else’s Pinterest board.
So if you’re reading this, maybe it’s your reminder too:
You don’t need to do it all right. You just need to do it real.
With love,
Vikki
