🎓 Finance Class Was a Scam
They taught me how to find X,
But not how to find rent.
I can recite the quadratic formula—
Still can’t afford a tent.
They said “get a job, earn a wage,”
Like that’s the holy grail.
But forgot to mention taxes,
And how your payslip comes with betrayal.
I learned about compound angles,
Not compound interest rates.
I can graph a parabola,
But can’t escape my student fate.
They made me memorize Macbeth,
But skipped the credit score.
I know how Lady Macbeth felt—
I’ve checked my bank app on the floor
They taught me how to write essays,
Five paragraphs, no fluff.
But not how to say “I charge for that”
When someone wants free stuff
They said “work hard, climb the ladder,”
But forgot to say it’s greased.
And the salary they promised?
It’s just vibes and Tesco receipts.
They skipped the class on passive income,
And how to invoice your soul.
Instead they gave us fake careers
And dreams with a payroll hole.
So now I squat in supermarkets,
Manifesting wealth and cheese.
Because school taught me how to obey—
Not how to earn with ease.
💸 Final Bell:
If school taught me finance,
It was how to stay broke politely.
But I’m rewriting the syllabus now—
With sass, sovereignty, and snacks nightly.
