💥 This Is What Happens When You Stop Letting People Shrink You
There’s a quote I heard recently that hit me straight in the gut.
Aubrey Marcus said his dad once told him, “You’ll never be successful without me.”
He never forgot it.
And it got me thinking. No one ever said those exact words to me — but growing up, the message was the same:
You don’t matter.
Not in words.
Not in open cruelty.
But in cold shoulders. In eye rolls. In being dismissed, ignored, overlooked.
I didn’t feel like a daughter. I felt like mud on the floor.
I was never lifted up.
Never celebrated.
Never shown how to love myself, trust myself, or believe I could be anything more than a problem to manage.
💣 But here’s the part that matters:
Instead of breaking me, that made me burn.
That feeling — of being treated like I was less than nothing — lit something inside me.
A quiet defiance.
A fire.
A refusal to stay small just because it made other people comfortable.
🌍 My ideology:
What if there was no manipulation in the world?
I’ve carried that fire into everything I do — and this is what fuels my work now:
What if we lived in a world where people didn’t manipulate you to get what they want?
What if your parents didn’t need to belittle you to feel big?
What if businesses didn’t trick you into buying things you don’t need?
What if love wasn’t conditional?
That’s the world I’m building — and everything I write, every book I sell, every blog I post is an invitation into that world.
🧠 I don’t use manipulation. I use truth.
I don’t write clickbait.
I don’t push products.
I don’t pressure anyone.
I tell the truth.
I share tools that helped me crawl out of the mess.
And I trust you’re smart enough to know what’s right for you.
No fake urgency. No “only 3 left!” garbage. No emotional blackmail.
Just the truth.
💥 And here’s my truth:
- I used to drink to numb the pain.
- I used to spend money I didn’t have just to feel okay for five minutes.
- I used to shrink myself around people who couldn’t handle my power.
And now?
- I’m sober.
- I’m free.
- I’m strong.
- And I’m building a life that makes me proud — not apologetic.
🛠 I wrote two books that might help you do the same:
📘 [Sober Not Sorry] – A no-BS guide to quitting booze, feeling amazing, and getting your life back.
💸 [How to Build Wealth on a Low Income] – Because you don’t need a six-figure salary to stop feeling broke. You need strategy, grit, and someone who’s been there.
I don’t know where you’re at in your journey.
But if any of this speaks to you — the books are there, if you want them.
🖤 Final word:
If you’ve ever felt invisible…
If your own family made you feel like a burden instead of a blessing…
If you’re tired of people trying to manipulate you or sell you some fantasy life…
You’re not alone.
You’re not broken.
And you’re not going to be that person forever — the one who shrinks, settles, or stays silent.
You’re allowed to rise.
You’re allowed to be everything they said you couldn’t be.
And you don’t need their permission.
