🎭 The Power Game of Narcissists — And How They Use It to Control You
Narcissists don’t love.
They compete.
They don’t connect.
They control.
Their whole identity is built on winning a game you didn’t even know you were playing — until it’s too late and you’re left wondering how your life, confidence, and sense of self slipped away.
Let’s expose the game. Piece by piece.
🧠 Step 1: They Create Confusion
Narcissists rarely start with insults.
They start with charm, compliments, and chemistry.
They build you up — so they can control the fall.
Once you’re hooked, they shift the rules. They say one thing, do another. They act cold, then come back sweet.
You’re left off-balance, second-guessing yourself, and chasing clarity that never comes.
Confused people are easier to control.
🤏 Step 2: They Isolate You — Slowly
They make subtle comments about your friends.
They guilt-trip you when you spend time with family.
They drain your energy so you stop reaching out to others.
Suddenly, they’re the only voice in your head — and that voice controls everything.
Isolation = control.
🔄 Step 3: They Flip the Script
They hurt you — then blame you for reacting.
They lie — then call you paranoid.
They withhold affection — then say you’re too needy.
You end up apologising for things they did.
Gaslighting keeps the spotlight off them — and onto you.
🪤 Step 4: They Use “Nice” as Bait
Just when you’re ready to leave, they flip the switch.
- They suddenly “get it.”
- They cry.
- They’re sorry.
- They say all the right things.
It’s not growth — it’s bait.
They’ve learned exactly what to say to get you back in the cage.
🪞 Step 5: They Mirror Your Insecurities
They study you.
They learn your wounds.
Then they weaponise them.
- If you fear abandonment, they threaten to leave.
- If you want love, they give it and take it away.
- If you crave approval, they withhold it just long enough to make you beg.
Your wounds become their control panel.
👑 Here’s the Truth:
Narcissists don’t want love.
They want power over you.
They want to be the centre of your universe.
They want to watch you twist yourself into knots to keep their approval.
And when you stop playing?
They panic.
Because the real power was never theirs — it was always yours.
They just convinced you to give it away.
🔓 How to Break the Game:
- Get quiet. Narcissists thrive on noise and drama.
- Get clear. Learn their patterns. Study their playbook.
- Get gone. Emotionally. Physically. Spiritually.
- Get strong. Rebuild your voice, your peace, and your power.
They will try to drag you back in.
They’ll lie. They’ll charm. They’ll guilt.
But you’ll already know:
This isn’t love. It’s a game. And I’m not playing anymore.
