A 2025 Cambridge study, interviewing eighteen women with sustained attachment to abusive partners, found something sharper underneath that: the closeness itself is often deliberately constructed early on, specifically so it can be exploited later. Things To Do Instead Of Smoking

Go outside and breathe fresh air, lock your vapes or cigarettes into a box in the furthest away room to disable easy access, 

Start with dental hygiene as your mouth is probably a complete mess and your breath stinks, then remove any activities that enable the smoking. Ie don’t follow the other smoker and copy them.

Delete the word smoking from your vocabulary and you won’t even think about it. 

Find new friends that don’t smoke

Start a new hobby ie cycling 

Coffee breaks learn something from a podcast instead of smoking

When you wake up and automatically pick a cigarette up, instead go outside and breath the fresh air deeply 

The sensible reason to give up is for you health but this doesn’t seem to help most people! 

So Lastly quit because you are paying the tax man…
