Reset Your Nervous System

Strip it all back to zero. Then add back only what actually calms you.
Here's something worth knowing. You can't think your way into calm. Your body has to feel safe first, and it can only tell whether it's safe by reading everything that's coming at it, all day, every day, notifications, noise, people, obligations, sugar, screens, other people's moods. None of that is really a "habit." It's stimulus. And most of us are so used to the noise, we've forgotten what our own baseline even feels like underneath it.
Strip it all back to zero first. Then add things back one at a time, and only keep what actually brings you back toward calm, not what you're just used to.
So that's what the next three days are about. Not adding another routine to your life. Taking one away, right down to nothing, and rebuilding it deliberately, layer by layer, based on what your body actually responds to, not what you think you should be doing.
DAY NINE, GO TO ZERO

Strip out everything you can

For one day, pretend you're starting from nothing. No routines, no rules, no "shoulds." Come off social media if you can, turn off notifications, say no to plans you don't actually want to go to, skip anything that isn't essential. You're not depriving yourself, you're just giving your nervous system a day without input, so you can actually feel your own baseline again underneath all the noise.

DAY TEN, ADD BACK ONE LAYER

Test it against how you feel, not habit

Pick one thing to bring back today. Just one. Before you do, notice how you actually feel at zero. Then add the thing back and ask honestly, did that bring me toward calm, or did it just feel familiar because I've always done it. Keep it if it earns its place. Leave it out if it doesn't.

DAY ELEVEN, KEEP BUILDING, HONESTLY

Only what passes the test gets to stay

Add another layer back the same way, testing rather than assuming. By the end of today you'll have the beginnings of a version of your life that's actually yours, chosen on purpose, not just inherited noise you never questioned.

This isn't about willpower, and it was never going to be solved by trying harder. It's about giving your body the chance to tell you what actually helps, and finally listening to the answer.
110 days left. Keep going.
Love, Vikki
