A 2025 Cambridge study, interviewing eighteen women with sustained attachment to abusive partners, found something sharper underneath that: the closeness itself is often deliberately constructed early on, specifically so it can be exploited later. We don’t need much, we just need love and no that doesn’t mean putting your hands down our pants whist they children are in the room! 

Women have a lots of chores and responsibilities and give love to our children 24/7 so all we need is a hug whenever you get anywhere near us! It’s that simple we need soooo many hugs it’s unbelievable but we can’t force the kids to hug us all the time that’s a bit weird
