How to Fact-Check a Conversation While It’s Happening

Some conversations leave you feeling fine. Others leave you quietly confused — like you walked in knowing exactly what happened, and walked out not sure of anything anymore. That feeling isn't random. It usually means the conversation shifted from being about facts to being about you. The good news is you don't need a therapist in the room to catch it.
